R+Co is not based on a single hairdresser or technique; instead, it looks at the totality of the industry and reflects that back to stylists and their clients. This Collective is composed of a rule-bending group of not-so-like-minded individuals whose sum is definitely greater than its parts. Join us to explore their perspectives in hairdressing.
This one-day class will deliver a deeper understanding of the specific cutting and styling needs of curly textures. Students will have the opportunity to learn through demonstrations as well as hands-on application of cutting and styling techniques on live models with curl textures ranging from tight to coily curls.

End results that will be achieved are:
- Understanding curl anatomy
- Customizing the consultation process for curly hair clients
- Choosing the appropriate cutting tool and technique based on the specific curl texture
- Appropriate product selection, application and styling technique for the curl texture
Model Requirements for Bring Your Own Model Hands On Ticket-
- Model can have any length Hair but must be naturally
- curly or coiled texture (telephone cord tight to kinky)
- Model will be receiving a cut based on consultation
- (can be light dusting or shaping)
- No Keratin treatments or extensions
- Arrive makeup ready
- All black OR all white attire
- Model must arrive by 2:15pm if not staying for demo portion of the day.
